As
a child, Marcela loved to draw, paint and play with her mother's makeup.
But with her family's support, she chose a different path in college and
graduate school. Marcela studied philosophy and attended law school with
the intention of practicing as an intellectual property attorney. Yet, as
all the other students were studying criminal law, Marcela was avidly flipping
thru the pages of the latest Vogue magazine concealed behind her books.
It was in the back of lecture hall where her passion for makeup was spawned
and she realized that makeup artistry was her true heart's desire.
Marcela was born in Florida but raised in Seattle, Washington and has been
working as a professional makeup artist in the entertainment industry. She
was trained and mentored by celebrity makeup artist Sharon Gault and international
makeup artist and author Margaret Kimura in Los Angeles, CA. Her specialties include print, commercial, fashion, beauty, and men’s grooming.
The most important element of Marcela's work is to be able to use her creativity
to enhance natural beauty yet bring out a person's inner beauty and individuality. |
